Oru Pakshi Polum – Silsila Album Song 2

Silsila is not an uncommon word in Kerala today – thanks to Harisankar’s first album Silsila. We had posted the first song (Silsila hai Silsila) from this album sometime back. The song was a big hit with the masses and gave Harisankar a good deal of publicity.

He’s now back with the second song – Oru Pakshi Polum. I showed it to some of my friends and everyone’s got praise for this one. Youtube comments are also giving a positive feel about the song.

Here’s the song for you.

Ratheesh started his career in the Malayalam film Vezhambal in 1977. But it was K. G. George who provided his big break through Ullkadal in 1979. He became a hero through I. V. Sasi’s Thusharam in 1981. From 1981 to 1988 he was at the peak of his career, performing in films like Ee Nadu, Rajavinte Makan alongside Mohanlal, Muhoortham 11.30, Vazhiyorakazhchakal, Ayiram Kannukal, Abkari, Unaru, Ithraym Kaalam, Thandram, Akkachiyude Kunjuvava, John Jaffer Janardhanan alongside Mammootty, and Ponthooval.

Between 1994 and his death on 23 December 2002 he acted in around 20 movies. His death at 48 came as a big blow to Kalavoor as well as the Malayalam film industry.
